Get links for the new agentic AI exam with AI

In this post I show how you can get links for the new agentic AI exam with AI. To be more precise, how to get potential links relating to the new AB-100 exam with the Microsoft Learn MCP Server.

To help raise awareness, the AB-100 exam is a new exam that you can take in order to gain the Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect certification by Microsoft.

In todays industry the demand for agentic AI as part of business solutions is increasing. With enterprises demanding that agentic development is infused into a variety of technology solutions to modernize our way of working. Including with Data Platform solutions. So I suspect this certification will be popular.

One thing to be aware of is that the exam is currently in beta. Which means if you take the test now you will have to wait a while before you find out if you passed.

In this post show how to do it with GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code. However, you can also work with other applications such as Claude Desktop.

I already had the MCP server installed. However, you can easily install it by clicking a button in the getting started with the Microsoft learn MCP server article.

I then opened up the GitHub Copilot chat in agent mode and asked it to perform the below task.

Can you please create a table for me that contains all the skills measured for the AB-100 exam in Microsoft Learn along with all the relevant links in Microsoft Learn for each topic please?

Running this in GitHub Copilot returned a reasonable amount of information. Including a well-detailed table which you can see a part of below.

To make the table more readable I asked for it to be separated by each specific skill.

I clicked on some of the links in the results and they appear to relevant. Which means that from here I can either save or copy and paste the table to my document format of choice and work with as a study guide.

I hope this post helps to raise awareness about the AB-100 exam. Because as I mentioned earlier the demand for agentic AI is increasing in all areas.
